Brain Break Conversation Cards

 

For my senior thesis, I designed, illustrated, and developed a 52 card deck of conversation cards for children. The target audience was mentors of children between 4 and 16, to engage with children and build those connections before they hit the age of onset for anxiety, depressive, and behavioral disorders. The cards are designed to initiate conversations with a trustworthy adult, so children can feel safe discussing their emotions. The cards help build resilience, emotional maturity, and strong relationships with role models.

Jon Summers Art

 

In 2020, Omaha Artist, Jon Summers, wanted to turn his studio practice into an online shop and establish a digital portfolio. I photographed his paintings and edited and stitched together the high quality files so he could sell his prints in a variety of sizes. I also created and maintain his website, online store, and artist contact pages. I contributed to social media pages, SEO, and provided other tips to gain a larger audience for his shop.

Brand identity for React Ensemble

 

React Ensemble is a library for building animations in React designed and built by Joe Cowman in May 2020. It is designed to help with longer animations that need to have precise timing or a lot of moving parts. I established a brand identity, logo, and color scheme for React Ensemble in the Fall of 2020.

The two font used if React Ensemble are Allumi, designed by Jean François Porchez with Typofonderie and Open Sans, designed by Steve Matteson with Google Fonts. Allumi is a dynamic humanistic font with letterforms that are neither perfectly round or square, which adds to the animated mission of React Ensemble. Paired with Allumi is Open Sans, because it is designed specifically for clarity and readability in web projects and precision and clarity aligns with the goals of React Ensemble.

Magpie: Artist Venue and coffeehouse

 
 

Magpie is a coffeehouse and venue that provides a space for artists to develop a community and new skills. Magpie values community, comfort, and creativity. Regardless of where people are from or what they do,
Magpie encourages them to join The Charm, the name for a flock of Magpies. Magpie offers artists a space where artists can feel welcome to share ideas and learn from one another.

The branding elements express that to viewers and visitors. The three primary colors for Magpie are the iridescent colors of the bird’s wings and tail. The three neutrals draw upon old stone gathering spaces in the medieval era. These colors are intriguing yet also comfortable, inviting creatives in with quirky primary colors and warm neutrals. 

 
 
 

Lyon Road Art Lookbook

 

Here are the spreads for the Look Book I designed and created for the July 2018 Inner Beauty Art Show. Each page shows a detailed image of watercolor and oil paints, all available at the show and online at lyonroadart.com.
The simplicity and banner-like headers in the look book represent the walls of an art gallery. These look books were used to market the event and were handed out to guests of the show.
